Avalon extended the longest winning streak in Coastal (8 Man) this week by beating Liberty Christian, 62-34. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Lancers.
Price made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,029 from 1,122. The improvement came about via a 50-0 victory over Rolling Hills Prep last week.
Avalon's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lancers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jose Cervantes has thrown for 241 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Juan Carlos Murillo has nine catches for 168 yards. Cervantes also leads the league in rushing with 883 yards.
Avalon led the league in scoring this week after putting up 62 points on the Minutemen. Cervantes ran for 172 yards in the win.
