It was a proper cat-fight when Ashdown challenged Hope on Friday. The Ashdown Panthers were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 42-41 to the Hope Bobcats. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Ashdown's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Hope, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Ashdown will venture away from home to challenge Centerpoint at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hope, they will host Magnolia at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th.
