Baseball Recap: Akron Gets the Win

Akron came out on top against Peetz on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Rams took their matchup against the Bulldogs 8-3. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Kolten Randel was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Clay Axtell also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Akron's record now sits at 5-1. As for Peetz, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Akron will square off against Wray at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Peetz, they will take on Prairie at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
