After flying high against Clarksville Christian on Monday, Zion Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Eagles fell just short of the Marshall County Tigers by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Leighla Rains was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Zion Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Marshall County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-11.

Zion Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 4-3 defeat against Lawrence County on the 24th. As for Marshall County, they will venture away from home to challenge Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
