Soccer Recap: Cape Hatteras Comes Up Short

Cape Hatteras lost against Manteo on September 3rd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hurricanes lost 6-0 to the Redskins. While losing is never fun, Cape Hatteras can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 264th, while Manteo are ranked 92nd).

Cape Hatteras has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4-2 record this season. As for Manteo, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3.

Coincidentally, Cape Hatteras and Manteo will both be playing Perquimans the next time they take the pitch. The Redskins will host the Pirates at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Hurricanes will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on the 8th.
