Basketball Game Preview: South Side Hornet vs. St. Joseph Bulldogs

South Side hasn't had much luck against St. Joseph recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Hornet will face off against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. St. Joseph took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on South Side, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, South Side took their contest with ease, bagging a 68-34 victory over White County Central. The Hornet haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, St. Joseph lost 65-41 to Mt. Vernon-Enola on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Warhawks are ranked 69th).

St. Joseph's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for South Side, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

South Side couldn't quite finish off St. Joseph in their previous matchup back in January and fell 43-40. Can the Hornet avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
