Volleyball Recap: Granville Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Granville Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northside Christian Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Granville Christian Academy of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-13.

Northside Christian found their leader in freshman Sophia Baker, who had 15 digs and two assists. Baker is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Granville Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Northside Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Northside Christian beat Granville Christian Academy by a score of 2-0 later that day.
