Soccer Recap: Center Comes Up Short

Center was the 3-1 winner over Clinton when they last played one another back in October of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Yellowjackets came up short against the Cardinals on Thursday, falling 8-0. That's two games in a row now that Center have lost by exactly eight goals.

Center has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Clinton, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6.

Coming up, Center will challenge Oak Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Center will be up against Oak Grove's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.1 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Clinton, they will square off against Summit Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
