Volleyball Recap: Norwood Mustangs vs. Hopkinton Hillers
Norwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hopkinton Hillers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hillers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 22-25, 25-13, 25-21.
Brenna Forbes paced Norwood's offense, picking up nine kills. Forbes got some help from Zoey Fleming and her 13 assists. Fleming was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Gabby Pattie was a one-woman wrecking crew For Hopkinton. as she had 19 digs and two aces. Pattie has been hot for a while, having also posted 17 or more assists the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sydney Stephen, who had 18 digs and four assists.
Norwood's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Hopkinton, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3.
Norwood has already played their next matchup (against Sharon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Hopkinton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Shrewsbury on the 15th.
