Basketball Game Preview: Sumner-Eddyville-Miller Mustangs vs. South Loup

Sumner-Eddyville-Miller hasn't had much luck against South Loup recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Sumner-Eddyville-Miller Mustangs will take on South Loup in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Saturday, Sumner-Eddyville-Miller came up short against Red Cloud and fell 48-36. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, South Loup was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against Pleasanton, falling 60-19.

Sumner-Eddyville-Miller now has a losing record at 2-3. As for South Loup, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Everything came up roses for Sumner-Eddyville-Miller against South Loup when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 59-18 victory. In that matchup, Sumner-Eddyville-Miller amassed a halftime lead of 35-12, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
