Basketball Game Preview: Weber Warriors vs. Farmington Phoenix

The Weber Warriors will square off against the Farmington Phoenix at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.

Last Friday, Weber lost to Davis on the road by a 55-36 margin.

Despite the defeat, Weber had strong showings from Bradey Schiffman, who posted 11 points and six rebounds, and Katelyn Poulsen, who went 5 for 7 en route to 10 points. Poulsen has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Maddie Mckay also deserves some recognition as she scored her first point of the season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Farmington, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Syracuse with a sharp 60-39 win on Friday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Phoenix's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while the Titans are ranked 11th).

Weber has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Farmington, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Weber was able to grind out a solid win over Farmington in their previous meeting on January 10th, winning 53-44. Will Weber repeat their success, or does Farmington have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
