The Menlo School Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Sequoia Ravens at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Menlo School has nine straight wins, Sequoia has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Menlo School's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Mills by a score of 3-0.

Not much got past Jackson Flanagan, who gave up just six hits to keep Mills off the board. Flanagan also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Menlo School is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-7 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Menlo School let Kc Chavinson and Zach Roeder run wild. Chavinson went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Roeder went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Roeder has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
Menlo School was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mills only posted a batting average of .231.
Meanwhile, Sequoia suffered their closest defeat since March 11th on Wednesday. They fell just short of Menlo-Atherton by a score of 5-3.
Drew Ostrander made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Menlo School's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Sequoia, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.
Menlo School came out on top in a nail-biter against Sequoia when the teams last played back in March of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
