After losing to Parklane Academy the last time they met, Simpson Academy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cougars came out on top against the Pioneers by a score of 9-4 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Harper Wall got the start for Simpson Academy and what a start it was: he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Wall has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jaydee Lane, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Miller Davis was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Simpson Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Parklane Academy struck out seven times.

Simpson Academy's record now sits at 17-10. As for Parklane Academy, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Pioneers beat Simpson Academy by a score of 4-2 on Friday.
