Softball Recap: Brindlee Mountain Comes Up Short

Brindlee Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 13-1 to the Elkmont Red Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in March.

Brindlee Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Elkmont, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-8.

Looking ahead, Brindlee Mountain is taking a road trip to challenge St. John Paul II at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Elkmont, they will take on Decatur Heritage Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Red Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
