Softball Game Preview: Diamond Wildcats vs. Pierce City Eagles

The Diamond Wildcats will face off against the Pierce City Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Pierce City will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Diamond extended their winning streak to four on Wednesday. The Wildcats came out on top against Marionville by a score of 10-5.

Meanwhile, Pierce City can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over New Heights Christian Academy. Considering the Eagles' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Diamond's victory bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Pierce City, their win bumped their record up to 4-11.

Diamond took their victory against Pierce City in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 16-0 score. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
