Baseball Game Preview: Gaston Greyhounds vs. Nestucca Bobcats

For the second straight game, Gaston will face off against Nestucca. The Greyhounds will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Bobcats at 3:00 p.m. Gaston is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

While Gaston's win against Nestucca wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Greyhounds skirted past the Bobcats 7-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Greyhounds.

Roman Potenzieri spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aiden Sheets, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one stolen base. Zach Bozich was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
