Volleyball Recap: South Stokes Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

South Stokes entered their tilt with College Prep & Leadership Academy on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Royals 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in August.

One reason for the win was South Stokes' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-9, 25-6.

Tianna Corum paced South Stokes' offense, picking up six kills. Corum got some help from Olivia Amos and her 15 assists. Corum was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

South Stokes' victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for College Prep & Leadership Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, South Stokes will venture away from home to face off against Mount Airy at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for College Prep & Leadership Academy, they will host South Davidson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
