Volleyball Game Preview: Water Canyon Wildcats vs. Rich Rebels

The Water Canyon Wildcats will challenge the Rich Rebels at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Water Canyon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They blew past Wendover 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Water Canyon.

Water Canyon was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-14, 25-20.

If Manila wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Rich, they should've done a better job of containing Paige Smith. The Rebels put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 win on Saturday with plenty of help from Smith, who had 24 digs and three aces. She has been hot, having posted 19 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Rich got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 30-28, 25-8, 25-16.

Rich's victory bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Water Canyon, their win bumped their record up to 8-14.
