            Baseball Recap: Stevenson Spartans vs. Wayne Memorial Zebras        
        
		
        
        
            Stevenson had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They never let the Wayne Memorial Zebras get on the board and left with  an   8-0  victory. The  win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Zebras: they've now won nine in a row.
  Ben Machowicz and  Tasso Kotsogiannis did most of the damage at the plate:  Machowicz  scored a  run while going 3-for-4, while  Kotsogiannis  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-3. That's the most  stolen bases  Kotsogiannis has posted since back in May of 2024.  Peyton Yatooma was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
Wayne Memorial is  on  an  eight-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Stevenson beat the Zebras by a score of  14-1 on Thursday.
