 South Garner is 0-5 against Willow Spring since March of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Tuesday. The South Garner Titans will head out on the road to  square off against  the Willow Spring Storm at 4:30  p.m.
 South Garner is is headed into Tuesday's   matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game  on Friday. They fell victim to a  tough 16-1 loss at the hands of Clayton.
  Allison Mayer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-1 with two  stolen bases, a  double,  and  an  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Willow Spring waltzed into their contest  on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the Bulldogs 16-1. Considering Willow Spring has won 11 matches by more than eight  runs this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
  Savannah Callis made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Callis has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive pitching appearances. Callis was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-1 with a  triple, two  RBI,  and a  run.
 In other batting news,  Carly Simon was  incredible,  scoring four  runs and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Emily Saw, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 South Garner's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10-1. As for Willow Spring, their win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 15-3.
 South Garner's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's   game. South Garner has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 3.2  stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Willow Spring, though, as  they've been averaging  only 1.1. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will South Garner continue to outrun the ball?
