Croatan came tearing into Wednesday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Pamlico County Hurricanes by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 17-25, 25-18, 25-17.

Despite the defeat, Pamlico County had strong showings from Dakota Schmidt, who had nine digs and two aces, and Bella-Ann Schulz, who had 12 digs and two assists. Schmidt has been hot for a while, having also posted 17 or more assists the last 13 times she's played.

Croatan's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Pamlico County, the loss snapped their winning streak at six matches and leaves them with a 11-8 record.

Looking ahead, Croatan will take on West Carteret at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pamlico County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Northside - Pinetown on the 2nd.
