Basketball Game Preview: Jacksonville Crimsons vs. Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones

Jacksonville hasn't had much luck against Sacred Heart-Griffin recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Jacksonville Crimsons will venture away from home to square off against the Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones at 12:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Jacksonville is headed into Saturday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 16th straight game on Monday. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 42-38 heartbreaker at the hands of Lanphier.

Meanwhile, Sacred Heart-Griffin was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 40-35 to Glenwood.

Sacred Heart-Griffin now has a losing record at 13-14. As for Jacksonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-26.

Jacksonville took a serious blow against Sacred Heart-Griffin in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 70-19. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Jacksonville was down 42-10.
