Basketball Recap: Rancho Buena Vista Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Rancho Buena Vista, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They had just enough and edged the Vista Panthers out 64-61. This was payback for the Longhorns, who suffered a 62-55 loss the last time these two teams met.

CJ Aldrich was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 36 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Horn, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards.

Rancho Buena Vista's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Vista, they dropped their record down to 10-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Rancho Buena Vista didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 76-72 victory against Rancho Christian on the 25th. As for Vista, they will challenge Carlsbad at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Carlsbad knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Vista likes a good challenge.
