Basketball Game Preview: Glencoe Panthers vs. Yale Bulldogs

The Glencoe Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Yale Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Glencoe's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Glencoe faced off against Morrison on Thursday. Glencoe managed a 63-59 victory over Morrison.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Yale). They blew past Agra, posting an 86-38 win. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Bulldogs with their most commanding win of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Yale and bumps their season record up to 10-14. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 39.5 points. As for Glencoe, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Glencoe against Yale when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 70-43 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Glencoe since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
