Flag Football Recap: Culver City Skates Past Compton Early College with Ease

While Culver City put up some points on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Compton Early College. The Centaurs took their contest with ease, bagging a 27-0 win over the Rising Phoenix. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 46-0 two weeks ago.

Culver City found their leader in freshman Hailey Gonzalez, who threw for 195 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 72.7% of her passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Maylynn Gloss was another key player, gaining 115 total yards and a touchdown.

Culver City's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Compton Early College, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Coincidentally, Culver City and Compton Early College will both be playing Centennial the next time they take the field. The Centaurs will head out to face the Apaches at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Rising Phoenix will host them at 4:10 p.m. on Monday.
