Recap: Delhi Bears vs. Richwood Rams
The Delhi Bears pushed their score all the way to 65 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They suffered a rough 90-65 loss at the hands of Richwood. Even though they lost, Delhi's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 52 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Delhi's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jimmy Spruill, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds. Carvon Percy was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 5 assists.
Delhi's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Richwood, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Delhi is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Mangham at 6:00 p.m. on November 28th. As for Richwood, they will square off against Ouachita Parish at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ouachita Parish will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 128th, while Richwood is ranked 47th).
