Softball Recap: Poly Takes a Loss

Poly's tournament run continued when they took on Bell Gardens on Saturday. The Poly Parrots wound up with the same score they had in their last game (5-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Poly saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was ROCHELLE MORENO, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. JAZLYN GALLARDO also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Poly's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Bell Gardens, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Poly will challenge South Gate at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Poly is facing South Gate at the right time seeing as South Gate is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Bell Gardens, they will take on Hawthorne at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bell Gardens is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.5 runs per game this season.
