Basketball Game Preview: Edison Tigers vs. Corcoran Panthers

The Edison Tigers and the Corcoran Panthers will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Edison is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Edison is headed into the game having just suffered their closest loss since January 6th on Thursday. They fell just short of Ridgeview by a score of 71-69. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (56), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

Corcoran has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-44 heartbreaker at the hands of Reno. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 186th in California, while the Huskies are ranked seventh in Nevada).

Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Corcoran, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.
