Basketball Recap: Monahans Comes Up Short

Monahans was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Seminole Indians 66-32. While losing is never fun, the Loboes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1424th, while the Indians are ranked 287th).

Monahans' loss dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Seminole, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 19-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monahans has already played their next contest (against Andrews), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Seminole will take on Pecos at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Seminole is facing Pecos at the right time seeing as Pecos is stuck on a 15-game losing streak.
