Wellington has gone 7-0 against Highland Park recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wellington Skyrockets will face off against the Highland Park Hornets at 6:30 p.m. Wellington will be strutting in after a win while Highland Park will be coming in after a defeat.

Wellington walked away with a 35-28 victory over Quanah on Friday. Given the Skyrockets' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 179th, while the Indians are ranked 469th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Highland Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by Quanah and fell 58-27.

Highland Park's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Wellington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-5.

Everything came up roses for Wellington against Highland Park in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 70-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wellington since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
