Softball Recap: Windham Takes a Loss

If Windham was riding high fresh off their 7-1 takedown of Putnam on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Whippets came up short against the Wheeler Lions on Saturday, falling 23-8. The Whippets haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Windham now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Wheeler, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windham will challenge East Windsor at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wheeler, they will face off against Ledyard at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Colonels will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
