Volleyball Recap: Southeast Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Southeast hadn't done well against Gulf Coast HEAT recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Seminoles came out on top against the Lions by a score of 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Seminoles sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Southeast had a senior duo take command as Layla Holmbeck had three digs and one block and Mellise Bush had ten digs and two aces. Holmbeck also set a new season-high mark in assists with 52.

Southeast's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Gulf Coast HEAT, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Southeast didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Bell Creek Academy on the 2nd. As for Gulf Coast HEAT, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Bayshore on the 2nd.
