Recap: Taylorsville Warriors vs. Murray Spartans

The Taylorsville Warriors struggled with assists on Friday (the Murray Spartans had 1700% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Taylorsville was beaten by Murray 71-35. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Taylorsville in their matchups with Murray: they've now lost three in a row.

Taylorsville's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kobe Allen, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds. Allen scored a full 40% of Taylorsville's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Logan Bertagnolli, who scored 6 points along with 7 rebounds.

Murray's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Beh, who scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds. The match was Beh's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Treyce Wilson, who scored 16 points.

Taylorsville's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Murray, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylorsville will challenge Mountain Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Murray, they will head out on the road to face off against Riverton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
