Weddington is a perfect 10-0 against Porter Ridge since November of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Weddington Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Porter Ridge Pirates at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Weddington has six straight victories, Porter Ridge has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Weddington is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Cuthbertson: they outscored them in every quarter. Everything went Weddington's way against Cuthbertson on Friday as Weddington made off with a 73-50 win. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 206th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Porter Ridge came up short against Cuthbertson on Tuesday and fell 60-49.

Weddington pushed their record up to 17-5 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.6 points over those games. As for Porter Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 4-17.

Weddington strolled past Porter Ridge in their previous meeting last Friday by a score of 53-35. Will Weddington repeat their success, or does Porter Ridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
