Football Recap: Wakefield's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Wakefield had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the Justice Wolves as they made off with a 33-12 win. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Judah Connor was his usual excellent self, throwing for 352 yards and two touchdowns while completing 79.5% of his passes. Those 352 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Wakefield also got help from Andrew Mason, who showed off his sure hands for 104 receiving yards.

Wakefield's record is now 3-1. As for Justice, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Wakefield and Justice will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Warriors see the field they'll take on Washington-Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Justice, their break will end when they face Annandale at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
