Basketball Recap: Dorchester Drops Highest Score of Season Against Omaha Christian Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dorchester). They breezed past the Omaha Christian Academy Eagles to the tune of 61-23 on Thursday. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Eagles are ranked 279th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Omaha Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Megan Johnston, who posted six points and five rebounds.

Dorchester's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points over those games. As for Omaha Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season.

As of now, neither Dorchester nor Omaha Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
