Baseball Recap: Hoboken Comes Up Short

If Hoboken was riding high fresh off their 18-2 takedown of Dickinson on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Redwings came up short against the Union City Soaring Eagles on Wednesday, falling 16-8. The Redwings haven't had much luck with the Soaring Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Hoboken's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Union City, their record is now 7-8.

Coming up, Hoboken will be playing in front of their home fans against Cedar Grove at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Union City, they will head out on the road to square off against St. Benedict's Prep at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
