Baseball Recap: Medford Tech Comes Up Short

Medford Tech dropped down to 6-4 on Monday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Westampton Tech Panthers by a score of 9-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

Mason Simon made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Zachary Brenner was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

As for Westampton Tech, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since April 15, 2025.

On Westampton Tech's side, David Torres was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Torres has become a key player for the Panthers: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Dominic Gore-Brown also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Medford Tech will challenge Maple Shade at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Westampton Tech, they will face off against Burlington City at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
