Softball Recap: Chaparral Cowboys vs. Las Vegas Wildcats
Chaparral had lost nine straight at home dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 1-11 to make it ten. They lost 22-11 to the Las Vegas Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-3 on April 9th.
As for Las Vegas, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-9 record. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
For Las Vegas' part, they got a big performance out of Angela Moreno, who got on base in five of her seven plate appearances with two runs. What's more, Moreno posted three hits, the most she's had since back in March. Amanii Darby was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs and one double.
