Soccer Game Preview: Alamosa vs. Montezuma-Cortez

The Alamosa Mean Moose will face off against the Montezuma-Cortez Panthers at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Alamosa comes in on seven and Montezuma-Cortez on three.

Alamosa is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Ignacio get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Tuesday. Alamosa might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Montezuma-Cortez had just enough and edged out Rifle 1-0 on Saturday. Give Montezuma-Cortez's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Jordlan Mahler, who's now up to five this season.

Alamosa's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Montezuma-Cortez, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1-1.

Alamosa took their win against Montezuma-Cortez in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Mean Moose repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
