Softball Recap: Page Snags Ninth Victory in Last 11 Games

Page won the last time they faced Franklin and things went their way on Monday too. The Patriots came out on top against the Admirals by a score of 6-2.

Ashley Johnson made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Johnson was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Adriana Callahan, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Anna Johnson, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Page has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Franklin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-21-1.

Looking ahead, Page will challenge Independence at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. As for Franklin, they will welcome Dickson County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
