Football Game Preview: Stratton Eagles vs. Otis Bulldogs + How To Watch

Stratton is a perfect 6-0 against Otis since September of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Stratton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Granada, who was ranked 20th at the time (Stratton was ranked 11th). The Eagles claimed a resounding 54-20 victory over the Bobcats. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won five in a row.

Stratton can attribute much of their success to Von Isenbart, who threw for 200 yards and four TDs on only 18 passes, and Judson Isenbart, who gained 135 total yards and two touchdowns. Von's passing game has become a key predictor of the Eagles' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Otis). They breezed past Briggsdale to the tune of 85-28 on Friday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Bulldogs with their most commanding win of the season.

Otis didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Mitchell Stivers.

Stratton's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Otis, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Stratton has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 168.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Otis struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 289.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Stratton strolled past Otis in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 by a score of 49-32. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
