Recap: Tuscarora Titans vs. Frederick Cadets
The Tuscarora Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They were beaten by Frederick 65-31. While losing is never fun, Tuscarora can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 174th, while the Cadets are ranked 26th).
Tuscarora's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Skylar Davis, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
Tuscarora's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Frederick, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 16-1.
Tuscarora will play host again and welcome the Hubs, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Frederick, they will head out on the road to challenge the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Hagerstown comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
