Volleyball Game Preview: Vinton County Vikings vs. Chillicothe Cavaliers

The Vinton County Vikings will challenge the Chillicothe Cavaliers at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday.

Vinton County came up short against Athens on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Vikings have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-14, 25-7.

Meanwhile, Chillicothe had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Tomcats.

Chillicothe easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-19.

Chillicothe now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Vinton County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Vinton County couldn't quite get it done against Chillicothe in their previous matchup back in September of 2017 as they fell 2-0. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
