Soccer Game Preview: Cloverleaf vs. Streetsboro

Cloverleaf hasn't had much luck against Streetsboro recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Colts will venture away from home to take on the Rockets at 7:00 p.m.

Cloverleaf is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Wooster on Monday. The Colts fell just short of the Generals by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Streetsboro made sure to put some goals up on the board against Field on Tuesday. They blew past the Falcons 4-1. It was an even better day for McKenzie Montgomery as she scored three goals for her team.

Streetsboro is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 39 goals over those eight matchups. As for Cloverleaf, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4-1.

Cloverleaf came up short against Streetsboro when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Colts avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
