Basketball Recap: Tri-Cities Christian Falls Despite Big Games from Elijah Carmack and Jordan Peters

Tri-Cities Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. 2025 welcomed they with a 77-51 loss courtesy of the Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks.

Jordan Peters and Elijah Carmack certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Peters went 8 for 18 on his way to 12 points, while Carmack went 5 of 11 on his way to 8 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Fields, who posted four points.

Ryan Crotty continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Miller School of Albemarle, going 6 of 8 from beyond the arc on his way to 27 points and five rebounds. That's the most points Crotty has posted since back in February of 2024. Anthony Saunders was another key player, going 6 of 9 on his way to 14 points.

Tri-Cities Christian's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Miller School of Albemarle, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

Tri-Cities Christian has already played their next contest, a 65-57 defeat against Blue Ridge on the 4th. As for Miller School of Albemarle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 67-59 loss against 1 of 1 Academy on the 4th.
