Basketball Recap: Battle Lake Takes a Loss

Battle Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Hancock Owls, falling 70-35. While losing is never fun, the Battlers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while the Owls are ranked 49th).

Battle Lake's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Hancock, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

Battle Lake has already played their next contest, a 67-42 defeat against Brandon/Evansville on the 30th. As for Hancock, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 82-27 victory against Ashby on the 31st.
