Spearfish piles up the points against Belle Fourche

The Spearfish Spartans gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 60-22 victory over Belle Fourche. With Spearfish ahead 38-14 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Spearfish can attribute much of their success to Seth Hamilton, who scored 14 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bennett Kortan, who scored 7 points along with 7 rebounds.
Spearfish's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Belle Fourche, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Spearfish will head out on the road to face off against Aberdeen Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Belle Fourche will be home for the holidays to greet Sundance at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
