Ada-Borup's loss ends eight-game winning streak on the road

Recap: Ada-Borup Cougars vs. Fertile-Beltrami Falcons

After a string of three wins, the Ada-Borup Cougars's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a hard 67-51 fall against Fertile-Beltrami. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ada-Borup has scored all season.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Austin McCraven, who scored ten points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Larson, who scored 12 points along with three steals.

Ada-Borup's loss ended a eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-2. As for Fertile-Beltrami, they pushed their record up to 14-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Ada-Borup will take on Mahnomen/Waubun at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mahnomen/Waubun knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Ada-Borup likes a good challenge. As for Fertile-Beltrami, they will head out on the road to challenge Warren-Alvarado-Oslo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Warren-Alvarado-Oslo will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings (they are ranked 310th, while Fertile-Beltrami is ranked 108th).
