Football Recap: Yorktown Comes Up Short at Home Against Niskayuna

Yorktown unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Niskayuna Silver Warriors on Friday, falling 35-14.

Cameron Grasso had a dynamite game For Niskayuna., picking up 98 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also rushing for 33 yards and one TD. Grasso got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 66 yards. Another player making a difference was Omari Forrest, who rushed for 64 yards and one score.

Looking ahead, Yorktown is taking a road trip to square off against Harrison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Niskayuna, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Shenendehowa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
